I wish I forgave you your faults,
And perhaps been more aware of mine,
But I’m a coward,
And left you behind,
So this poem has no purpose,
Just a reminder that I fucked up,
And the fault was entirely mine.

I recognise this scenario from my own life. Forgive yourself my friend and move on. 💙🙏❤

There’s something to be said about not forgiving yourself from time to time. Despite my tendency to write about it, I don’t cling to my regrets, but I’ll be damned to forgive the atrocities I’ve committed. Otherwise, who would remember them?

I always forgive myself but I don’t forget, for me forgiveness whether of self or someone else is a lesson learned. 🙂❤❌

Thank you for your kindness, and though I have always been dragged along with the unfettered march of time, I’d rather not forgive myself. Too easily I think that would lead to my forgetting.
